This True Temper Flint Edge Kelly Works double bit came to me as a commission piece from an event I participated in recently.

The owner wished for the original handle to be kept since it held sentimental value. The handle was very dry and the blade dull and chipped when it reached my bench.

I soaked the handle in many coats of oil to combat how dry it had become and reformed the edge to a mirror polish.

The owner was so happy to have his grandfather’s axe back in such a pleasing state! It was such a pleasure to work on this one!
