Jiles here was customized for a client.

Jiles is a modified full-size axe on a torched hickory handle. I used my homemade axe wax on it.

A leather mask was made for him by Charles and Thatch, a local leather worker in the Rogue Valley.

This is the first fully polished axe I have completed!

When I first received it, it was clear to me the previous owner used an angle grinder on it and had attempted to customize it, but the result had left it looking really roughed up.

I got it shining and near mirror polished. Jiles is ready to go back to work! I hope his new owner is very happy!
